Since 1982, the Mounce family has grown their business from a small farm to the thriving Strawberry Fields Lifton. In 2017, they expanded their vision to Wooladon Estate, transforming it into a versatile and unique Devon wedding destination. ENVIRONMENT IN MIND
At Wooladon Estate, the Mounce family has dedicated themselves to enhancing the estate’s charm and sustainability, creating a perfect setting for unforgettable weddings. One of our significant improvements is the introduction of a biomass heating system, which uses locally sourced wood chips to efficiently heat the entire estate. This eco-friendly approach reflects our commitment to preserving the natural beauty of Wooladon while minimizing our environmental impact, just as we do at our Strawberry Fields Farm Shop. By blending thoughtful innovation with the estate’s timeless elegance, we provide a beautiful, sustainable venue for your special day.
NEW SPACES
In 2023, the Mounce family unveiled the New Barn, a stunning addition to Wooladon Estate that beautifully complements its serene surroundings. Designed to provide a breathtaking space for weddings and special events, the barn welcomed its first guests in early November 2023 and has since become a standout feature of the estate. With its high ceilings, adorned with elegant hanging chandeliers, and rustic wood paneling, every detail has been thoughtfully selected to blend the charm of a traditional countryside barn with a touch of modern sophistication. The New Barn’s unique blend of rustic elegance and contemporary style offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making it an ideal setting for unforgettable celebrations.
