Bar FAQs
When will the Wooladon Estate bar be ready?
Our bespoke bar will be built in January 2025 ready for the wedding season and will be available for all weddings thereafter. We will be sharing photos of the completed bar on our social media channels, so stay tuned for updates!
What will the Wooladon Estate bar include?
Our bar will offer a wide variety of local beers, ciders, wines, spirits, soft drinks, and of course, champagne! Our experienced and friendly team will ensure top-notch service throughout your event. Please see attached document for pricing information.
Will there be an additional charge for the Wooladon Estate bar?
No, the bar service is included in your venue hire fee. Welcome drinks, table wine, and toast drinks can be conveniently added to your day via the Sonas account in due course or by contacting your wedding coordinator.
Can Wooladon manage our welcome drinks reception?
Yes, we’re happy to manage every aspect of your drink service throughout the day. We offer both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, served by our professional staff in the location of your choice. Prices start from £2.95 for soft drinks and £3.95 for alcoholic beverages. You can arrange this with your wedding coordinator or directly through the Sonas system.
When will drink prices be finalised?
Please see attached “Drinks” document with information on our drinks prices. In the coming weeks these options will be uploaded to the Sonas system for easy selection. Alternatively, you can book an appointment with one of our wedding coordinators in the new year to finalise your choices.
Will table wine be available?
Yes, we can provide table wine for your guests, please see the ‘drinks’ document for more details.
What if we’ve already selected a bar service provider?
Rest assured, any previous bar service agreements will be honoured during this transition period. However, for weddings booked after 1st November 2024, the Wooladon Bar will be the exclusive provider.
Is glassware provided?
Yes, drinks served by Wooladon Estate will include glassware. If you’re using an external caterer, you will need to coordinate with them regarding additional glassware needs.
Can we provide our own drinks?
For weddings booked prior to 1st November 2024, couples are entitled to provide their own drinks as per previous arrangements. However, they will need to hire their own glassware and staffing to serve. Post 1st November 2024, all drinks on the wedding day will need to be purchased through Wooladon Estate. We do not offer corkage.
Can guests bring their own alcohol?
While we understand guests may bring drinks to enjoy over the weekend, we ask that all alcohol consumed on the wedding day is purchased through the Wooladon Estate bar only. Any guest found bringing their own alcohol to the wedding may incur a £500 charge added to the couple’s bill.
At what point do we need to confirm our drink options?
Decisions need to finalised no later than 1 month before your wedding date.
Can guests pay by cash and card?
Yes, both card and cash payments are accepted at Wooladon Estate bar.
Can we set up a bar tab?
Some couples prefer to set up a bar tab with a predetermined amount set at the bar. Once the amount is reached your guests can pay for the reminder of their drinks. It is also possible to extend your bar tab on the day should you wish to add more budget towards it. A debit/credit card would need to be held whilst the tab is open.
Can we have an open bar?
We can offer an open bar which can vary based on your preferred time frames and budget.
Can we provide drinks tokens for guests?
As an alternative, some couples may decide to issue drinks tokens to guests. 1 token = 1 drink up to a value decided by the couple. The value of these drinks will be put on a tab for payment after the wedding. A debit/credit card would need to be held whilst the tab is open.
Can we request drink options that you do not currently stock?
We will do our utmost to source special drinks that you are hoping to incorporate into your wedding day. Advanced notice of no later than 3 months is encouraged to ensure sufficient time to explore sourcing options.
